Crawl
It's been two hundred years since the Fall of the Old Republic; Tarsus Valorum, the first Supreme Chancellor, left as his legacy for his sucessors a thriving, wealthy and democratic Galaxy. Four generations of Cahncellors have gone by, at the top of the Galactic Senate now rules a Bothan, Ursi Mineth'bar, the very first non-human to take office; although his people are known for intrigue and mischief, Ursi has managed, through all his 60 years in politics, to maintain a clean sheet and a long list of victories, one of them being the recent expansion of the Republic annexing the planet of Naboo. The Jedi Order act side by side with the Senate to enforce peace from the Core to the Outer Rim, hoping to avoid the chaos of ages past, when the warmongering Sith led the Galaxy into constant, brutal conflict; in a which hunt to maintain order, the Council has dispatched several of their most trained Warriors to sweep the galaxy clean of any Sith remains.
Although on the surface the aura of otimism reigns for this new galactical era, it is known that inside the monolithic Institutions of the Republic, the rot is already showing and slowly it starts to give in to corruption. Every and each one of the inhabitants of Coruscant, if not the whole Galaxy, is fueled by envy and greed; the only difference between them is that some try to hide it with an unsullied mask of grace, those are usually called politicians, and others don't value enough their lives to do so. This later lot, or scum, as most are used to called them, is spread all around the uber metropole; but one special place, deep down the bowels of the planet, receives them with heartwarming open arms: Level 1313, where filth is a compliment and villany is the only way of life accepted, or, at least, the only way to survive. Gangs rule the streets with little or no care for the authorities, whom are either corrupt to their bones or dead with their throats slit lying by the gutter.
There are three major districts in Level 1313, each with it's own rules and rulers: Low Light District, the smallest yet most profitable of the three, here you can find entertainment at it's finest, want to have the best drinks and girls near the Core? Do you want to gamble out your famiy's whole income? Into some fighting? This is definetly your place... Just don't try cheating, the people from the Black Sun, does not take kindly to those who try to screw them over; The Refinery, is exactly what it's name say, a huge industrial park that compromises most of the Level's area, the guys who rule this place are too high up the ladder to show their ugly faces around, the only people you'll find here are poor sods trying to make their lives with a meager salary and a bunch of snobby nosed mercenaries who think themselves Senate Guards; and finally, Meadows, a very pretty name for the most violent, plague ridden, slums of Coruscant (and trust me, that's quite an achievement). It was previously named simply Slums, but when the Cast Iron Crew took over, they decided to change it, trying to make it sound... more cozy.
