Outside, he entered his notes on his holopad. He suspected he had learned everything he was going to learn. He knew the names of the murderers, he had visual evidence of the crime, and he knew how to find them. He could turn over the evidence to the CSF, who would promptly arrest them.
But something about all this greatly bothered him. Why had she lied to him? What was her husband involved in? Where were the credits coming from? And did Kay and Sanso really kill Kharrus Ameen simply for refusing to pay protection money, or did they know about the money laundering as well?
