The office and apartment of Gozer Jinx, private investigator. Gozer's quarters are orderly, befitting a lifetime of martial discipline and service. On the walls are holoplaques listing citations for bravery and excellence in the Coruscant Security Force. The windows let in the varied illuminations of Low Lights.

It was mid afternoon, Gozer had been sitting in his office, when a heavy knocking came from the door; something seemed urgent.

Gozer grabbed his pistol and keyed the audio communicator. "Jinx Gozer, Private Investigator. How may I assist you?" His voice was calm. He had followed his brothers through Hell and policed Heaven itself. Very little challenged his composure. The blaster pistol helped.

At the door stood large Gran lady, quite easily recognizable by her trio of teary eyes and breasts. Her chest moved quickly, as she tried to grasp her breath.
"Gozer? Gozer Jinx?..." She spoke amidst sobs, in a heavy foreign accent; the gran clearly hadn't been here in the city very long.

"One moment, madame." Gozer holstered the weapon before opening the door. "Please come in. My office is this way." He lead her to a chair, before producing a pair of tissues. "How may I assist you?"

The female gran, accepted the tissue and the sit.
"I... We... We just opened a butchery around the corner. Kharrus had insisted we sell everything we had in Kinyen, that Level 1313 would provide us with a better life: 'They've got money to spare in the capital, my dear" he used to say. But now... now he's gone."
The tears rolled down her eyestalks, crossing her goatlike nose. Gozer recognized the store in case, it couldn't have been more than a hundred meters from his office.
"I went to the Police Department, but they payed me no mind."

Gozer produced a holopad and began taking notes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch you own name, Madame?"

"Ghanarre, sir. Ghanarre Ameen... My husband was Kharrus Ameen.""
She said, using the second tissue Gozer offered.

"Was Kharrus in debt to anyone, or talked about having credit problems? Had he had any arguments recently?"

"The day after we opened the store some men came calling; my Kharrus told me to go buy groceries... When I came back, they wore gone, my husband had a broken nose and some of our wares were scattered around. He didn't want to talk about it afterwards."

Gozer frowned. "Madame, it sounds as though your husband was the victim of a typical Black Sun protection racket. They put pressure on local business owners to pay them a percentage of their profits in exchange for 'security'... typically from Black Sun itself."
He was silent as he thought to himself. Finally, he said, "I'll accompany back to your home, where I'll look for evidence. You should pack some clothes and stay with friends. Once I start asking questions, bad men may come looking for you. I'll contact you if and when its safe again. I'm sorry, Missus Ameen... but I can't promise a happy ending. Only the truth... and justice, if need be."

Miss Ameen fell to her knees, her hands covering her three eyes, as she wept uncontrollably.
"But... But... I have nowhere to go, we only just arrived here." After a couple minutes, the gran lady took a deep breath and managed to get back on her big calloused feet. "Thank you, Mister Jinx."
